We did it.
Sort of.
It’s a small thing, I know, but one that feels like it carries an inordinate amount of significance. Party First has been submitted to the Ennie Awards. For those of you that may not know, the Ennies are basically the premiere awards of the tabletop RPG industry; the RPG Oscars, if you will.
Not only are we submitted, but earlier this week, Gamenomicon and Party First were officially listed among the 2020 Submissions on their website. While you’re there, take a look around and check out a lot of other really amazing creators that have put out some great products in the last year.
So what happens next? Well…. honestly not much on our end. Now the judges take over and sift through the submissions to make their determination on which products deserve to be recognized as nominees for each category. Eventually those nominees will be announced and the public gets to vote for the winners out of that curated list.
So for now, we wait. I’m not under any sort of impression that a brand new game from a new company run by a new writer has any real shot at the big leagues yet but still. It’s a step in the right direction and it feels momentous to do.
